Sabouraud Dextrose Broth is Carlier's modification of the formulation described by Sabouraud for the cultivation of fungi, particularly those associated with skin infections. It is used in qualitative procedures for cultivation of pathogenic and non-pathogenic fungi, particularly dermatophytes.
